Consider this, it took over 50 volume of manga to tell Mugiwara pirate's growth from beginning until they're noticeably equal with admirals (refer to vol.59 ch.598 "two years later"). 50 volumes are a large number of manga, but worth to tell the viewer every piece of growth. Can you make it the same? Can you tell your viewer how Mugiwara pirates grow in your games until they finally able and strong enough to take down the admirals during the story?

My point is, it's not about how your story begin or end. It's about telling the process, the middle part, the core of your game. You have a good start and again, interesting ending. But the flaws lies in the length of story. In my opinion, you can't (or should i say, not allowed to) make the middle part short or too short, because you'll miss giving the viewer tense from the game itself. You can't make it too long either, since gamers will get bored fast.
